Certified Baptiste Leader, 500 hour E-RYT, Studio Owner
I teach yoga because it makes me a better person. I own a yoga studio because it may just make the world a better place. My fist yoga class was a “have to,” my employer made me go. I hated it. I hurt. I cried. I hated myself.
Now, 23 years later, I can honestly say, most days, I like who I am and believe whole heartedly in what I am doing.
Baron Baptiste has been my biggest influence. The yoga I teach is powerful, physical and applicable to daily life. I believe we all need tools to help us be more resilient, more flexible and just better people. Yoga has provided me with those tools, as have my two kids, my family, my pets and my students. Without them I wouldn’t have had the courage to step outside the box that I had so confidently secured myself in.
The students I hope to teach are anyone with a body, a story and desire to get to know their best self. I can’t wait to meet you on the mat!
After graduating with my MFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco, I noticed a deep connection between my yoga practice and my art practice. Both have taught me about creating balance between structure and flow and finding perfection in all of the imperfections.
In 2018, I received my 200 hour certification at Soul Yoga in Santa Rosa, CA. Yoga has brought so much healing into my life, from the physical practice to the incredible community I find myself a part of. Yoga reminds me to truly listen in and get present both on and off the mat.
My classes are Baptiste inspired, playful yet challenging! My intention is to create space for students to get out of their thinking mind and into their physical body, leaving them feeling rejuvenated, open, strong and empowered.
I feel so grateful for this path I am on and have such a passion to continue to learn, lead, grow and share with you.
La Reina has been practicing yoga since 2005 and received her 200 hour certification at Soul Yoga in June 2019. To La Reina, yoga is a path to emotional and physical healing. She teaches a Baptiste inspired flow to create a grounded container to experience your body on your mat. With compassion and authenticity you will have an opportunity to explore your connection with the present moment.
I am passionate about helping students find their integrity in each pose and encouraging them to reach for new possibilities. I received my 200-hour certification at Soul Yoga in 2019. My classes are Baptiste-inspired.
I was motivated to teach yoga after my mom died. My mom had been in the hospital for several months and had disengaged with physical therapy. I have always wondered if she had had the opportunity for yoga, would she have continued with physical therapy and recovered. I will never know the answer but the question motivates me to bring yoga in a way that honors students where they are.
When I am not doing yoga, I work at making sure the drinking water is safe. I also ride bicycles, garden, sew, peer at rocks, and take risks in Toastmasters.
Tod found yoga in 2014 and immediately felt the positive effects both physically and mentally. The combination of lifting weights and yoga helped take away the aches and pains of growing up playing sports and the wear and tear of life.
Tod is a 750 hr Baptiste Certified teacher, has attended Level 1, Level 2 and Art of Assisting with the Baptiste Institute and has even assisted 4 Level 1 programs! He has trained with FireFlex, Prison Yoga Project, Veterans Yoga Project, taught yoga to the Chicago fire and police department and led Physical Resiliency to first responders. He is also influenced by the teachings of Dharma Mittra and Lisa Ellisen.
Tod wants to share his passion and love of yoga with everyone!
I came to yoga from a dancer’s point of view. I needed something to keep me moving and flexible as taking a daily ballet class and commuting was getting more difficult. I took my first yoga class about 10 years ago. I hated it but I thought I would give it another try. After my husband retired we started going to yoga class together. He encouraged me to go with him. Eventually we found Lisa and Soul Yoga. We were hooked. I took my first teacher training with Lisa in 2016 and my second teaching training in the Baptiste style in 2018. After I retired in 2017 from owning my own ballet studio and teaching dance for 30 years it was not my intention to become a yoga teacher. When Lisa asked me to teach an early morning class I thought I would give it a try. I am surprised that I enjoy teaching yoga as much as I do. I teach a vinyasa style class as well as a power yoga. Most classes are with music.
I completed my 200hr Baptiste inspired yoga training at Soul Yoga in May 2019 with Lisa & Tod. Seeking relief from depression, grief and trauma brought me to yoga.
In my class you can expect to feel safe while opening up to new possibilities on and off your mat.
I can promise I will be my most genuine self and allow you the same.

Elizabeth creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which she delivers a steady, grounded, and encouraging practice that is both supportive and challenging for her students. Her background in kinesiology (American College of Sports Medicine) and exercise physiology enable her to give instruction and suggest modifications that match her students’ individual needs. (You may find yourself safely doing something you never thought was possible!)
For Elizabeth, teaching yoga is a joy and a privilege. It is the perfect progression of her experience in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual modalities. As a teacher of metaphysics, she is continually honored and awed to witness students become more self-confident, compassionate, and courageous on their mat—and in their lives.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Elizabeth had the fortune to experience yoga early on. She’s been a practitioner since 1975. San Francisco also fueled her love of great music, which she integrates into her classes. Over the years Elizabeth has completed numerous immersions and training, including Hypnotherapy for Athletes, Naturopathic Healing, Reiki, and Polarity Therapy.
Outside of yoga, Elizabeth co-created Ageless: Living a Robust Life for the Rest of Your Life, a program rooted in the possibilities of health and well-being at any age. The current evolution of this, Main House Collective, is driven by the possibility of all people living lives they love regardless of age and perceived ability. This is the core of Elizabeth’s passion. It inspires her work each day as she teaches yoga, develops Main House Collective, and leads Heart’s Desire retreats.

Julie is honored to be able to share the ancient practice of yoga that she was first introduced to when she moved to California 30 years ago. Although she is a recent 200-hour RYT, she brings her many years of practice as well as her degrees in Psychology and Counseling to her students. She understands the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga and hopes that her students come to class willing to experience the transformative effects that can happen.
She teaches a Baptiste-inspired vinyasa style to warm the body and encourage connection with the breath. In her classes you can expect to be encouraged to find your connection with your body and breath and have physical assists if you prefer. She welcomes students to find their unique path on the yoga journey and looks forward to being a partner along the way.

In 2015, I become a Zumba Fitness Instructor. It turned out to be the best gift I ever gave myself; the opportunity to be present in my body and mind and to model for others that fitness could be fun! Even more than that, it helped me to connect with others and become a community builder, and to create a life for myself and my 3 children that made sense.
In 2019, I realized that I wanted to evolve to reach more people, and to offer fitness that everyone could do. I became certified at Soul Yoga under Lisa Ellisen and Tod Ceruti as a 200 Hour RYT Baptiste Yoga instructor in the Fall of 2019. Now I can’t believe what a game changer that yoga can be in someone’s life!
My teaching style is fun, relaxed, encouraging and without judgement. When I am not teaching yoga, you might find me at home with my boyfriend and our five kids and two dogs. I teach yoga, nutrition and Zumba in Sonoma County schools through St. Joseph’s Healthy for Life. I also have a business as a Furniture Artist for “The Painted Feather by Angie” where I upcycle and paint furniture, teach paint classes and sell Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint at Whistlestop Antiques. I’d love to meet you!
